Ruma Fruit & Produce sells Fiddleheads to large supermarkets, small grocers, restaurants, and farms. We have a continuous delivery of fiddleheads that arrive from Northern Maine, New York, Vermont, and Canada. The first crop of fiddleheads arrive from Canada in mid - late April. As the weather gets warmer, we start to see fiddlehead ferns cropping up all over the US-Canada Border. Fiddlehead ferns are perfect for adding to salads, soups, and as a garnish. We offer delivery of fresh fiddleheads to all locations within the continental United States. To buy fiddleheads, please call us at 617-389-8090 and speak to the Fiddlehead Sales Department. Fiddlehead prices vary per day depending on crop availability and trucking/fuel costs. Fiddlehead prices are calculated daily and are based upon 10 lbs of fiddleheads. One may purchase fiddleheads from Ruma Fruit in 10 lb quantities or in 5 lb clamshell bags. When shipping our fresh fiddleheads, we box each 10 lb bag into boxes of 30 - 40 lbs. Fiddlehead crops are just beginning to show up and we are confident that our first shipment of fiddlehead ferns will arrive at Ruma Fruit in a few days time.
